The Call to Rise

DEVOTIONAL
The Lord is not calling His Church to become stronger merely through effort. He is calling us higher through intimacy. The higher we ascend into His presence, the more His character becomes visible in our lives. We begin to carry heaven's peace into earthly chaos. Heaven's wisdom into earthly confusion. Heaven's hope into earthly despair. This is the generation God is preparing, not spectators, not consumers, not casual believers, an eagle generation, a people who know their God and a people who hear His voice.
A people who refuse to be governed by fear. A people whose lives bear witness that Christ truly reigns. The storms of our generation are real. But the grace of God is greater. The darkness is increasing. But His light shines even brighter. The pressures are mounting, but the Holy Spirit is strengthening His people. The Father's call remains unchanged. Rise higher, stay longer, trust deeper and remain closer.
And as you do, you will discover that the very winds designed to hinder you have become the means by which God carries you into greater dimensions of His purpose.
REFLECT
1. Where is the Holy Spirit inviting you to answer the call to rise into deeper intimacy?
2. What competing voice, habit, fear, or desire needs to become quieter so that this truth can shape you?
PRAY
Father, awaken me from every place of spiritual complacency and call me higher. Give me courage to rise into deeper intimacy, holiness, faith, and obedience rather than settling for yesterday's experience. Let Your light break through every heaviness, and make my response to Your call immediate, wholehearted, and sustained. In Jesus' name, Amen.
PRACTICE
Set aside 10-15 unhurried minutes today. Ask God to help you answer the call to rise into deeper intimacy. Write down one truth to carry and one concrete act of obedience.
