BECOMING: FINDING GOD IN THE SECRET PLACE DEVOTIONAL EDITION

DAY 13

Will You Respond?

READ Revelation 4:1

DEVOTIONAL

The invitation is universal. The response is personal. Not everyone who hears God's invitation responds. Many are too busy. Others are too comfortable. Some become distracted by success. Others by disappointment. Yet throughout history, God has always found a remnant. Men and women who valued His presence more than public recognition. People who desired His face more than His gifts. Believers who chose obscurity with God rather than popularity without Him. These are the people through whom God changes generations. The world often celebrates charisma. Heaven looks for consecration.

The world admires talent. God searches for yielded hearts. The world promotes ability. God entrusts Himself to those who remain before Him.

REFLECT

1. Where is the Holy Spirit inviting you to respond personally to the Father's invitation?

2. What is one response you can make today rather than postponing?

PRAY

Father, give me a heart that responds when You call. Keep me from being too busy, comfortable, disappointed, or distracted to follow Your invitation into deeper fellowship. Teach me to value Your presence above recognition, convenience, and success, and let my answer to You be willing, personal, and complete. In Jesus' name, Amen.

PRACTICE

Set aside 10-15 unhurried minutes today. Ask God to help you respond personally to the Father's invitation. Write down one truth to carry and one concrete act of obedience.

JOURNAL
