DEVOTIONAL
There Is a Place the Enemy Cannot Enter. One of the greatest encouragements for every believer is knowing that regardless of how intense spiritual warfare becomes, there is a realm in God that Satan can never penetrate. The devil is powerful, but he is not all-knowing. He is ancient, but he is not eternal. He is intelligent, but he does not possess the wisdom of God.
Many believers unknowingly magnify the enemy until he appears almost equal with God. Nothing could be further from the truth. Satan is a created being. God is the Creator. Satan learns; God knows. Satan reacts; God ordains. Satan counterfeits; God originates. This understanding changes how we approach spiritual warfare. Victory is not found in becoming obsessed with the enemy. Victory is found in becoming deeply acquainted with God.
The safest believer is not necessarily the loudest believer, nor the busiest believer, nor even the most gifted believer. The safest believer is the one who knows God intimately. Throughout Scripture, we discover a remarkable pattern. Before God entrusted anyone with public influence, He first invited them into private fellowship. Before Moses confronted Pharaoh, he encountered God at the burning bush. Before Joshua led Israel into Canaan, he lingered in the Tent of Meeting. Before David ruled Israel, he learned to worship alone in the wilderness.
Before Paul became an apostle to the Gentiles, he spent years being taught by Christ. God always reveals Himself before He reveals our assignment.

1. Where is the Holy Spirit inviting you to become more acquainted with God than preoccupied with the enemy?
2. What is one response you can make today rather than postponing?
PRAY
Father, draw me into the hidden place of fellowship where my heart is anchored in You. Keep me from becoming preoccupied with the enemy, and make me deeply acquainted with Your wisdom, authority, and peace. Let my life remain hidden with Christ, secure in Your presence and responsive to Your direction. In Jesus' name, Amen.
PRACTICE
Set aside 10-15 unhurried minutes today. Ask God to help you become more acquainted with God than preoccupied with the enemy. Write down one truth to carry and one concrete act of obedience.
